Aerial Cable Systems Advances

Thursday, May 24, 2018 | 2:00 - 2:30 pm
Hendrix Aerial Cable Systems, a division of Marmon Utility LLC, provides specific solutions when bare wire is not the best option. This presentation focuses on applications in which a covered conductor system can improve reliability and system hardening. The session will be a non-commercial discussion of the strengths of a spacer cable system when considering right-of-way, clearance issues, substation exits, under build of existing power lines, fire mitigation, ecologically sensitive applications, and renewable transmission solutions. In addition, examples of current applications and storm resiliency will be demonstrated as part of the presentation.
