Emily Walainis is a Senior Associate in Corporate Strategy at Consumers Energy, Michigan's largest utility, where she is charting the course of the utility in the digital age. Emily works on the company's electric vehicle strategy focused on serving customers by ensuring electric vehicles are successfully integrated into the electric grid. She designed, obtained approval for, and stood up an electric vehicle education and charger rebate program for the people of Michigan. She is currently developing a proposal for Consumers Energy's customer fleet electric vehicle program focused on medium and heavy-duty vehicles. She also oversees development of the 10-year strategic plan for the gas and electric utility businesses and supporting organizations.
