Sarah Gulezian

Sarah Gulezian is the Associate Director of Smart Grid Programs at Elevate Energy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping households and communities control their energy usage and costs. In this role, she oversees the strategy and execution of Elevate Energy's demand response and dynamic pricing portfolio for utility clients. Currently Ms. Gulezian directs two innovative supply options for ComEd and Ameren Illinois that connect people to the hourly market rate of electricity to reduce their bills and impact on the environment. She also oversees the Ameren Illinois Peak Time Rewards program. Ms. Gulezian leads the marketing, outreach, customer service, and research to support the over 140,000 residential customers participating in the programs.

Ms. Gulezian has a deep understanding of the smart grid customer tools and technologies available to customers, their effectiveness in driving behavior change and how to motivate customers to take advantage of the efficiency benefits of the smart grid. Prior to joining Elevate Energy, Ms. Gulezian advanced Illinois clean energy policy at Sierra Club and served on the Governor's Electric Vehicle Advisory Council. Ms. Gulezian holds a bachelor's degree from University of Vermont, and is a MBA candidate and Civic Scholar at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Outside of work at Elevate Energy, Ms. Gulezian enjoys serving on the Illinois Environmental Council's Young Professionals Board, and running, biking, and swimming on Chicago's lakefront. When winter rolls around, she can be found in the jewelry metalworking studio.
